    2006 Rtv 900 hst issues

First thing to consider… that the unit is using only Genuine Kubota UDT or SUDT2 hydraulic fluids. ANY OTHER fluid is unreliable and causes slipping and low power issues. The WSM describes the process of repairing and rebuilding the HST. (I don’t have the need or courage to try but others...

    900 RTV Brakes

Work Shop Manual…. is the term used by Kubota for the Shop Manual…. which gives detailed repair/adjustment procedures.

    RTV idle adjustment

The stop-nut works to do that, If your’s is so worn that it does not work… either replace the screw/nut assy….or you might try applying some Permatex No2 to the threads to create an “anti-vibration” paste to it. Alternatively, you could croos-drill the screw head (if it’s not already as mine...

Where did you obtain that “Dove” decal? (the one with the sub-script which says “Adaptive Mounting Solutions”) I want one. (My wife’s middle name is “Dove”) LOL

    2012 RTV400ci trans oil substitute

I am of the opinion that using anything other than the Exact Kubota-recommended fluids …is false economy. If they fail or cause damage to the machine…the repair and down-time will be overwhelmingly more expensive than simply using the proper fluids…. …and … You’ll never know what the...

    RTV-X2 Rear Bumper

That would result in a pretty High Trailer Hitch location….and I believe would also force a reduction of tongue-weight…and likely prevent using the original hitch receiver due to excessive length of receiver necessary.

    1140 4x4 issues

Sometimes 4wd doesn’t easily engage unless the vehicle is being slowly moved under very low power/throttle….or “coasting” after throttle let-up. Disengagement can be similar.

X900 lose a power going up hill

If overloaded by the HST the engine may indeed “die”. I’ve had that happen on several occasions when allowing a guest to be the driver while I was a passenger and they didn’t believe me to “let up on the pedal”.

    2007 Kubota 900 muffler

If it were mine…and if I only used it on my own property…. I’d either take it to a muffler shop and have them repair it… OR…I’d simply add a home-made 90-degree pipe. The genuine part is over $400. Although you can order only the spark arrestor (item 60) which is not expensive and mfr’ a...

X900 lose a power going up hill

The “go” pedal…is not an “accelerator” such as in your car. That pedal controls the HST….which in-turn calls to the engine for the power it requires. If, when going up-hill the RTV begins to struggle…. mashing down on that “go pedal” will only Load the transmission even MORE…. It’s better...

2005 RTV 900 Radiator Drain and Fill - More Out Then Went in ?

You’ve likely just mis-judged how much you drained vs installed….if you’ve driven it around a day or so and it’s still full at the cap when cold and it doesn’t overheat. What about your reservoir..? Have you put coolant in it…then seen it drop slightly after operating and then after it cools...

    Need new tires

I can think of DISadvantages…. reduced braking capability…and incorrect mileage and speed indications…. less fender and steering clearances…greater roll-over risks.

    Check your Flooorboard !

The cotter-pin-in-the-hole is an old Ford ”better idea”….. the cotter “jiggles” with vibration and running-around and keeps the drain hole clear so that condensation etc can drip out.

RTV 900 Floor Panel & Inner Fender Well

I wonder ….If the rotting-floor issues …. are primarily the result of operations in “salted” or otherwise treated ground…?? I ask because my 2014 X900 still has it’s floor-mat installed over the sheet-metal flooring…and, other than occasional rinsiing/power-washing….it has not been subjected to...

    RTV 900 Head Gasket

Regardless of what type torque-wrench is used….the TECHNIQUE of its use is Paramount for accuracy. Whenever I go to the Tire Store I was those guys dutifully grab a torque-wrench and set the “clicker” on the specified torque for that particular vehicle….. then they “lunge” upon the wrench which...

    RTV 900 Head Gasket

“I read somewhere…”. I read a Lot of stuff…”somewhere”… which does not make it reliable information. It is almost Always recommended to “re-torque” wheel lugnuts/lugbolts shortly after driving the vehicle some distance… but I have Never found any discrepancy if the proper torque was applied...
