So.... was replacing the head gasket on a d1702 motor. Got it torqued down and realized I forgot the little oring around the oil port. Can I reuse the headgasket since the motor was not started and it was only torqued down for 5 minutes (a new gasket is $260!)? Thanks

It looks like the other fork is in the way preventing me from driving the pin out.

There are spring and ball detents for the rods so the tranny needs to be opened up to remove them

I don’t want to remove the tranny if possible. I can’t remove the shift fork unless I do. Correct?

It just seems like it's binding so that it can't slide back the last 1/4". I've used my borescope and can't see it hitting on anything....not sure what the deal is.

I just can’t get the H-M shift for to slide back far enough....bent shift fork maybe? How do I bend it back without pulling the tranny?

The gear shift isn’t bottoming out when put in M. Does this still sound like a bent shift fork?

New to me Kubota RTV900 If I hold the gearshift lever it will run in M gear, but as soon as I remove the pressure it slips into neutral. Any suggestions? Hopefully ones that don't involve removing the tranny.

Under the hood there is a single wire that you need to plug or unplug. I just forget if it is the left or right side.

If there are any scratches or other damage on the pistons or cylinder that they fit in to, it will require a new valve body. If there is any scratches or damage to the plates that the valve bodies rest on they must be replaced as well. Tolerances are very tight, so any damage will cause...

Check the glow plugs again and they were all dead. That's the problem.

Machine is in a heated shop. Even if glowed for 10sec it still cranks quite awhile.

Changed all of the rubber lines from the filter to engine/return lines. Still cranks for probably 10sec after sitting overnight. I'm stumped.

The fuel lift pump is new. Problem started before anything was changed.

Machine is a rtv 1100 with 3000hrs. New fuel filter, fuel lift pump. Glow plugs tested and working fine. Machine is hard starting the first start of the day. Cranks for 8 or 10sec first after it sits over night. Subsequent starts for the rest of the day are fine. Thinking if may be fuel...

Figured out the vibration. Looks like when the dealer changed the front crank seal 3 years ago they put the front pully on 180 degrees out! Hopefully no engine damage. Nice and smooth now though.

These are the directions I’m assuming they followed. Idle isn’t set any lower than another machine I have. Shaking is very noticable up to around 2000rpm.
