A tip for curtis plow owners

if you look at mine it does not get into that angle brace its just short of it.Even in you got into it by 1/8 of an inch it would not effect anything.Im a month in now with some nasty conditions and have had no issues and the added clearance is great.

    Winch wiring?

Here is one thing in life ive learned over the past 40 years or so. When adding anything 12 volts to anything that draws more than 5 amps always add a relar period..99 percent of switches of any type can only handle a small amount of amperage before they melt down like a liberal during Trumps...

A tip for curtis plow owners

I changed mine out also but went a different route.I picked up some used pads from a real trick and cut off the posts and re welded half inch grade 8 bolts on them for the posts so they dont bend.Either way is fine but I generally look for the easier least expensive way.I used to keep mine...

Rtv 900 and 1100 oil capacity

Make sure they are both for oil.One may be for hydrolyc fluid.I cant remember off hand what the oil amount for the 900 is but the tranny is 2.2 gallons but if memory serves me the oil is just over 3 quarts.Kubota generally has specs listed on their web page on fluid levels.Remember when changing...

    RTVX-1120 Versus 1140

Im not sure on the 1120 0r the 1140 models but the regular rtv 900 in low gear I have had no issues hauling heavy loads up steep hills even pulling a trailer. The only issue you may run into is loosing traction. As long as you can hold traction it has no issues loosing power going up steep...

Slinging mud on X1100 with tracks

With the bonus of traction of the tracks there is the dis advantage of the mud flying.Only way to keep the mud down is a low speed.I drove dozers for many years and it was the same shing.Slow speed means no mud flying around.High speed means mud all over the place. If it gets muddy and you want...

A tip for curtis plow owners

Here is a tip for anyone who has a curtis plow from Kubota on their RTV .Most who own one will know you have a limited amount of lift on the plow and are lucky to have 4 to 6 inches ground clearance while raised.Today I looked over mine to see what I could do to get more lift. The way its...
