Kubota RTV 900 blowing hydro filter

Merry Christmas to you. I have been lucky and only had to replace a fan belt on mine in 8 years. I don't use it as much as I did when I first bought it but it has handled anything I could load on it or hook to it. Have only been stuck twice and that was from high centering on skidder ruts while...

Kubota RTV 900 blowing hydro filter

Do you have the right micron filter for it? A real fine filter could build pressure. Might also have a blockage in the relief circuit.

Why would they abuse their RTV like this?

I would not load big rocks like that but mine has hauled a lot heavier loads than that while getting firewood. Loads of gravel and other stuff loaded with the skid steer weigh more also.

    Jump Starter

Still running the original battery in my 06 RTV900. It was killed twice by the switch being left on or my big knee hitting it. Sure can't complain!

Never been a fan of running shots. Patience and one shot has served me well for many years. Besides that, I am lazy and don't want them to run very far. Last 5 or 6 I have shot were retrieved with the skid loader or pickup where they lay. I did shoot one for my BIL after he missed 3 times. One...

Today's storm has missed us by about 50 miles. We got 2-3 inches but folks east of here are getting dumped on. From Scranton north into Vermont they will get a ft. or more. Glad I don't have to mess with it.

    Cheap windshield- Bordercollie style

That will help keep the rain from stinging your face also. Had sleet pellets hitting me a week ago and they really hurt. I try not to use mine much when it gets cold except for pulling the log splitter around.

    rtv 1100 problems

Don't ever use the glow plugs with ether. Can wreck your motor. I would suspect you will still have problems if it is the glow plugs.

    rtv 1100 problems

Is it real cold where you are? If you raise the bed up you should be able to feel the warmth of the glow plugs if they are heating. The Kubotas like their glow plugs below 40 degrees. Did you fill the filter before attaching the line to the engine? If you are getting fuel you should have some...

    rtv 1100 problems

When you say won't start do you mean it cranks over and won't fire or it does nothing at all? If it does not crank the likely suspect is the neutral safety switch or the trans linkage that pushes it.

    I'm an idiot

You hyda-locked the engine by forcing oil up past the piston rings. That is why it did not shut off. Let it drain over night. I would pull the injectors and crank it over to force any extra oil from the cylinders. Put them back in and add the proper amount of oil. Start it and make sure you have...

It is not a real big spreader but it holds 3-4 heaping buckets from the skid steer. It is not in his barn But spread over a big area where he feeds round bales. As far as the seed goes it will come up the same as if I broadcast spread it.

My neighbor is giving me a lot of manure to spread on my fields. He lets me use his tractor and spreader and I clean up his feed lot with my skid steer and load it. Been sprinkling grass and clover seed on the bed of the spreader before each load so I can seed and fertilize at the same time...

Be glad someone was armed and able to drop him before he did more damage. This is a world wide problem and armed resistance is the only way to stop it.

I broke my glasses a few weeks back. Went to Sams club and got new ones with an eye exam for $117. They are safety glasses with wire frames and a one piece nose piece. I hear you on the price of parts. Just dropped $153 for replacement plugs for my snowplow from the western dealer. Have to make...

    900XT Spark Arrestor

Fuel quality and how you run it have a lot to do with it. Mine has only been apart once in 8 years and it was far from clogged. A good run down the road to my lower fields and running winter blend with kero mixed in helps I am sure.

My honey came in 5th out of 23 entries and we won a new capping knife. Not bad for our first entry and all new bees after a bad winter. Sure is crazy warm today after having temps in the 20's over the weekend. Woke up to 62 this morning and should get to 75-80 today and the next few days are to...

I go back to the cancer doc tomorrow. He did not like my cell counts a month ago and was talking about doing another bone marrow draw. That will be the 4th time they drilled my butt! Grab the handles and hang on.
