    Winter wardrobe

Thanks cj. I'm still very happy with them and we had temps in the forties three days ago then back into the twenties. They're still the perfect gobetween from inside to outside, no matter the winter temps. I suspect you folks in Zeli are celebrating still (lol)

clearing ice on top of snow

Let me know how that works for you, Jim. My driveway always becomes a sheet of ice/hardpack and I don't like salting.

    3PH snowthrower vs 4WD

Yeah... I'll have to find something that isn't buried in snow and put it in there. Hmmm, I wonder how much a bucket of snow weighs? (lol)

    3PH snowthrower vs 4WD

I bought a 3PH snowthrower a month ago or so. Prior to that I cleared snow with a back blade. There are two things I've noticed right off the bat, the steering has gone to hell, and I'm getting "stuck" a lot. I can't drive from my pole barn around to my driveway (traversing part of my yard...

    guess who???

Hi there! A fellow tractor guy from the food forum (lol)

    Winter wardrobe

For warmth and ruggedness you can't beat Carharts. I knew I wasn't going to be moving from the tractor seat a couple weeks ago and put my Carharts on. If I was going to be working with materials I'd put my Carharts on. But that's about it. They're in the basement and my ski pants shells are on...

    Winter wardrobe

I had a lightbulb turn on over my head a month ago and I thought I'd share. It's such a rare occasion  My work takes me outside every day. Probably 60% inside and 40% outside, plus the usual snow clearing and such in winter. Usually I had two ways to dress for this, either put on the...

    FF Down Again?

Check again (lol) You better get out there with those poles that hold up clothes lines and get those power lines back off the ground :yum:

    FF Down Again?

Thanks Jim. I popped over here to see if you or Doc were aware.

    What brand do you own?

L-3130. Other than the "footprint" it leaves while working around the yard, I love the extra size and capacity over the B-7500 I used to have. A couple winter shots. How I used to clear snow and how I clear snow now. I can actually park where the pile would be

    Hi folks

Thanks zoom. I can adjust it side to side, but need to get off to angle it up or down, unless I spring for hydraulics in the future. There's a couple areas where it's impossible to keep the snow off me no matter which way I rotate it and what speed I go through at. I think I really need that...

    For Doc

Doc, here's that old tractor I mentioned to you on the food forum. I was feeling restless today, so I took a short drive and snapped a couple pics. Sorry for the quality, it sits off the road a ways in someone's yard and I had to use the digital zoom.

Thanks for the welcome guys! I like your name too Bonehead (lol). Bonehead.... it makes me laugh just saying it (errr, to myself that is)

    Hi folks

Thanks Doc. I'm sure I'll recognize some names as I go.

    So do you collect leaves?

Thanks. That's an idea, but I'll probably end up utilizing the winch on the front.

    So do you collect leaves?

They usually blow away here, too, but this past season they had 6" of snow on them before the fall winds came. After it melted off my neighbor was out there in a borrowed mulcher/vaccum attachment on a lawn tractor. I went to TSC and picked up one of those rear bagger leaf rakes 30 bucks off cuz...

    Hi folks

Hello. Thought I'd pop over here from the food forum. It's been a while since I was on a tractor forum. I hope I can contribute something to somebody and learn from y'all, too. My current task at hand is learning how to use my new 3PH snowblower. I should have gotten it years ago. Hell, I should...
