New shed out of old materials

Well, thanks! I appreciate the compliment. If you saw my junk pile, you'd understand why my wife always says, "I just hope you don't die first and leave me to deal with disposing of all that junk!" I love her to death, but she has no idea of the value in a good junk pile.

    Think we A'skert 'em off????

Thanks for the forecast, Jay! Very good news. The catfish in my tank are sending out for O2, and a few more warm days like today might end in a big kill. I love tractor shows and pulls, most racing, and I'll be taking my grandson to the Monster Truck show here in a couple of weeks. The...

    Do You Use Tire Goop?

:yum: :yum: :yum: Now THAT'S funny! If it had been, he should have been lynched before he got past Brownsville! The folks of this great state spend millions every year combatting the crap. :mad2: Mesquite, that is, not cow crap.:pat: Anyway, it does run up into Okleehomie a ways...

    Think we A'skert 'em off????

Woohoo, way to go Jay! This morning it was actually warm outside, and we had plenty o' fog. Looking forward to a good ground-soaking steady rain for a few days! I thought you'd wake up when I threw that "old man" comment out there, Dougster. Like Jay, I think that the game really got...

    Do You Use Tire Goop?

Nica, that's a conditioned response that women are taught in WIFE SCHOOL. Some say it's not real, but I think it is:hide: ...otherwise, how do you explain the similarity of 99% of wives' responses to our strokes of genius? :shitHitsFan: Nica, the reason for the mesquite infestation here is...

Reviving Nicad batteries for your tools.

Where is the Dougster, anyway? I think this is the longest a post has gone without his input... Probably got all caffeined up and caused a ruckus in the fancy coffee house.

    Think we A'skert 'em off????

Jay, at least you watched it. After your stated propensity to induge in foo-foo coffees, you have redeemed yourself. I bet that'll get the old man's attention, what do you think?

    My motorcycle project

Great job! Especially when I look at your cost versus the fact that mine still has a couple of years of payments.

New shed out of old materials

Well, it ain't done yet...but i just found a guy that wants a barn torn down. I get everything, he just wants it cleaned up. So, now I'll possibly be able to put the whole shed up for free. Well, other than a handful of welding rods and some lag screws. More to come.

    How to brew coffee

Jay, my wife dragged me into a few :starbucks: in the past, and I never felt comfortable there. She kept telling me to talk lower, well...quieter. Its like it's a church or something...the Church of the Living Coffee, Fancy Bean Assembly of Beverages (just off the frontage road). Now...

    Think we A'skert 'em off????

Jay, seriously, send me some precipitation! Not picky about the form, well...no hail. We're seeing a lot of fires due to stupidity and humidity as low as 14%. So that leaves one hope, rain, because it appears the stupidity is here to stay. I know you don't control the weather, but isn't it...

    The Tax Code

Well said! But sadly, the goal of the Leftist Party is to exploit that very mentality. What is very confusing is that those running for office would seem to be cutting their own throats by running on a platform that proposes higher taxation of the rich. The truth is, the spin docs know that...

    One for Brandi: Damaged Helicopter

Thanks, Brandi!!! Those are great pictures, and like I said before, I really admire your abilities.:respect: I'll try to dig up a few pictures of my work on the F-16. It is a cool industry to be in. About the helicopters...think they'll see more work now that the oil industry is making the...

    FEL bucket add-ons

Doc, it makes it a lot easier, for sure. If the trailer tongue is really low to the ground, it can still be cause to stand up a little to get the hitch properly aligned. Or, you can shotgun it, and say, "Damn, that wasn't it", :pat: and try again. I've got an idea I want to try when I...

    FEL bucket add-ons

When I lift the bush hog to sharpen the blades, I run a chain around the tailwheel assembly and secure to each side of the bucket. That way, if a weld breaks, the mower won't come crashing down on me. Thanks for the compliments, guys!

    Parking stand for rake

Of course, Dougster...as I remember, you have the welder already.:poke: :smartass: You know, I have never been up there. I went to DC as a kid, and flew through Pittsburgh on the way overseas a time or tow, but I've never seen your part of the country. People would probably stare at me.

    Think we A'skert 'em off????

You fellars didn't skeer me off. Heck, I really enjoyed the welcome. Then again, I spent all my adult life working with other USAF crew chiefs...and we eat our young. The strong ones re-enlist, the weak ones get out. :fight:

    Why Parents Drink

That's a good one. Reminds me of my grandson...innocent mischeif of a grand nature that only a child who doesn't see the big picture gets a giggle from. Gotta love the little guys.

    Parking stand for rake

Howdy all! I got tired of fighting with my rake when hitching it up, so I added a leg to hold the 3pt end off the ground. Works pretty good. Ignore the crappy welding...I was in a hurry and it was CcccCccOLD!:sorry: But the idea works. :tiphat:
