Do you know your way around a GMC Vandura?

I'm going to have to order in.. I started looking for a new mechanical fuel pump recently but the costs to ship it from the US to here is more than the cost of the parts in most cases! I think I'll have to bundle my orders to try to cut down on the shipping costs... I may need a little help...

Do you know your way around a GMC Vandura?

And with the price of petrol recently exceeding $8 per US gallon over here (and climbing), I won't be using it for my daily driver... But I will be using it once in a while to move it 50 miles from point A-B... (B = Beach) leave it at B for a couple of weeks and then bring it back home to A...

Do you know your way around a GMC Vandura?

It's the same mind set over here Art. Its the disposable society we live in... Anyhoo... I got the ol guzzler running earlier this week! The carburettor was gummed up with gel and rust and the petrol that was in the fuel tank had gone bad after sitting there since 2006. Such a shame to have to...

Do you know your way around a GMC Vandura?

Hey guys, long time no see... Life has been keeping me pretty busy of late and I haven't been logging on much. The new job takes 100% of my time and when I get home I got too much to do... so sitting at my computer and surfing the internet has taken a distant place in my priorities!! Anyway...

    MTD - Transaxle 618-0167

I called over to my local MTD service centre for some information. I thought it may eventually be of some use to others here, so I scanned it.

    MTD - Transaxle 618-0167

That photo was taken quite a while ago and I'll be honest, that little greenhouse did not fair well. Once the wind gets under it, it goes off like a sky rocket. The last attempt I made to keep it in one place had concrete blocks on each shelf and I had it tied to the wall with rope and eye...

Just flicking thru some old threads... adding a pic to this one... The back loader I made a couple of years ago, still working strong... Using this improvised jib I cobbled up a while back, made for lifting & placing railway ties... Still haven't ponied up for a FEL yet... lol I hope...

    MTD - Transaxle 618-0167

Hey guys, I've got a mid 90's White (MTD) ride on mower that has a problem. First off, I thought it was the drive chains slipping on the axle sprockets and so I replaced the bronze axle bushings. It didn't solve the problem. So now I'm thinking the problem may be inside the tramsmission...

    Do you fertilize your lawn?

This thread is a real coincidence. I just finished spreading fertiliser on my lawn not more than 20 mins ago... (a bit late with the application this year ) Each year, usually the first week in april, I put out a little under 100lbs of 7-6-17 on my 3/4 acre. Then every 5-6 weeks there...

    Now I know...

... how bad you guys felt when you posted threads about the passing of your pets. I laid my best friend to rest this morning, after almost 17 years of friendship. Constantly at my side and always there to find my hand when it should have been rubbing his head. God damn its hard to deal with him...

Hey guys. Its been a while since I've logged on to ntt. Just spent some time catching up. you guys have been busy!. I gotta admit, its been a quiet year for me. What are you doing with your Tractor this weekend

I know it took me a year to do it :yum: , but heres a clip of the barrel train I built in a hurry last year. This video here was filmed today, at our family fun day. First off, I gotta apologise for the wobbly video clip, my 10 year old son aint no spielberg when it comes to camera work...

    Cordless grinder

Dewalt is a lot cheaper in the states too Mith. I bought a Dewalt combi in either HomeDepot or Lowes I cant remember which , in Florida a couple of years back for $500usd. It came with 18v Hammer action drill, Reciprocating saw, Circular saw, Impact driver, flashlight and a charger. Oh...

    Cordless grinder

My dewalt grinder is pretty much the same. Battery lasts maybe 5-10 minutes, depending on what I'm doing. For cutting, it drains the battery pretty quick, but for cleaning up welds and such, like using a flap disc or similar, the bettery lasts a lot longer... A big inverter capable of running a...

    Aerating season has begun here...

A few pics of my core aerator. Promised to post them last year but never did. Took a standard agrifab 48" tow behind aerator, removed the wheels and draw bar and adapted it to fit on my 3pt. A bit too much weight when the drum is full of water but it sure does get max penetration (and some)...
