    Tractor Detailing

I washed my bota the time I bought it. I re sprayed some of the rusty bits just to make her presentable. I even waxed it! Talk about proud newbie tractor owner...!!! I have not washed or waxed it since. I do give the hood and fenders a rub of an old cloth from time to time just to get the dust...

    kabota 7100 steering box blues

Welcome aboard woolford. I dont have a loader on my 7100 but I have read about the front end problems experienced with 7100's fitted with front loaders. If there isnt enough of a counter weight hanging off the back of the tractor, there can be a whole host of problems with the steering box...

    Fencline AND Treeline cutter!!

Hi Paul, No "remote kill" apart from the switch on the handle of the trimmer. (but I have to get off the tractor to shut it down). I do have full control of the throttle, using the nylon cord that runs through the pulley and back to the tractor seat. This allows me to stop the blades of the...

    Fencline AND Treeline cutter!!

This is what I use... I have some 300ft of hawthorn hedge I like to keep straight. It works nice. It cuts the top of the hedge perfectly straight, no way I could do this by hand, trust me it was a LOT more wobbly on top when I used to do it by hand!! Used to take all weekend to cut...

Has anyone built a homemade potato digger?

An old farmer near where my folks lived years ago, he used something similar to this. He'd pull it with his horse. (This was back in the mid '80s.) The potatoes would run up the conveyor and into spud sacks he'd have on the back of the machine. Apart from picking the odd stone or two, as...

    $15.20 / USgal

hey Mith, We're feeling the same pain here although not quite as high as the UK yet....... Average here now is €1.40 a litre for unleaded, €1.50 for diesel. (4 litres per US gal. = (€5.60euro) $8.68usd per US gal. Costs me well over €80euro ($125usd) to fill my car every week.
