    Tearing Up The Lawn

Found a great source of fill dirt on friday on the way back to the station. Had 25 yards delivered to my house (my partner had over a hundred delivered to his, his wife was not pleased). Got some major seat time yesterday moving some of the dirt to my back yard to patch large areas for...

    Kubota All Paid Off!

You used the words "boner" and "monica" in the same post. Are you a Clinton fan? I do want that grapple real bad, but it might have to wait. Funds are very limited at the moment as I have had to travel to San Diego a couple of times and will probably need to go a few more. Bone

    Kubota All Paid Off!

Made the last payment on friday, it's all mine now! Celebrated today with seat time, although only a few minutes worth. Planted two apple trees with the wife and kids using the backhoe. Could have easily done it by shovel, but we all wanted to use the tractor. Can't wait until it dries out a...

    Grapple for Bonehead

Mongoose- I own a Kubota B7610. I was thinking the 4000 would be right for me. Ms. Kluver told me the nearest dealer was in Beaverton Oregon, but on their web page they do not mention the Brush Crusher. Can you verify this is the closest dealer to me (Seattle area)? Bonehead

    Grapple for Bonehead

The 3000 is $910 while the 400 is $1090. I was thinking of getting the 4000. I too was looking to see how easy the conversion would be. Which video did you see this on? Bone

    Grapple for Bonehead

I'm home from work early today. Have been trading emails with the Brush Crusher dealer. I really like the attachment, but at around $1000, I'm going to have to save for a while. Can you guys take a look at the link earlier in this thread and tell me what you think? They have a couple of demo...

    Loading wood

Great idea, although if I were to use these pallets I would have to buy pallet forks. Like I said, great idea! This is a pic of my current system. Wood is stored below the deck and I have to move it by hand (about 30-40 armfuls) to these racks. What a pain! Bone

    Grapple for Bonehead

I think this is the best option for me. The additional hydraulics is what has putting me off buying a grapple. Any idea on what one of these would run for a 24hp Kubota? Bone

    Favorite tool

I would LOVE a cordless sawsall. We have a couple of them at work and it is so tempting to just borrow them for an hour or two (a real no-no). Bone

My DeWalt cordless drill. My dad gave it to me years ago and it has been indestructable. Bone

    Grass growing tips

If I ever finish my project, I might try this trick. This time of year the leaves are beginning to fall. The plastic would help keep the maple leaves from preventing the grass from growing. Certainly will make it easier to remove the leaves. By the way, does the straw contribute any grass...

    Here we go again!!!

My boys are 11 and 5. If there was ever a justification for a tractor, it would be to fill in the holes that they dig in the yard (outside the lawn, otherwise they know what will happen:bangin: ) Congratulations, but a word of warning: everything you learned from the previous child will either...

    Lets see your backhoe!

To add to my dislikes list: I sometimes catch the pads of the stabilizer arms on objects like trees when I need to get through a tight spot. Would be better if the arms went up completely vertical.

    Lets see your backhoe!

Mith- I have the Kubota 4672 BH on my B7610. Since I have never used any other BH, I can only point out things that I like or bother me rather than give any suggestions. Bother me: Stabilizers sometimes get in the way. For example, if I am digging out a stump, in order to position the BH...

    Widening rims

Mith- Aside from the fun of making the rims, what is the advantage of wider rims over your duallies (sp?) that you had on one of your tractors? Bone P.S. By the by, I was thinking of you as they had a Bob Marley marathon on the radio this afternoon.

Having fun with MSN Vitual Earth

Here is a pic from a little further out. The images were taken while the house was being built, I would say around 2001, so there is no grass around the house. Our place is in the center of the pic and is bordered to the north by the road, to the west by the meadow, and to the south by the cul...
