Head came in today [cast iron like original] . Replacing the head went well and cranked right up after bleeding at injectors. Let it run 30 min. Going to let sit over night and recheck head bolts and valve settings.

Well no reply so I'll give the results. Yes you can access the water pump by way of removing the skid plate. Very simple and much faster than removing the seat components.

In previous a thread it was mentioned to remove the plastic portion of the seat to access it. It seems to me a much better way to access it would be to remove the skid plate and work from the bottom. Any opinions would be great. Got to do the job as soon as my pump comes in.

Makes my 1600 hrs on my RTV 900 seem not even broken in.

My 2005 RTV did the same thing and it was the starter solenoid contacts. Replaced the contacts and solved the problem.

Just go to HarberFreight and buy an adapter. I have one for the front and back of my RTV 900. Works great.

Put the 900 back together today. Still not completely happy with it. This was a very bad design by Kubota. When they developed the one piece drive shaft they should have offered it to the owners of the ones with the old system at a discount. I used some of the ideas I got from this forum and...

Shaft is due in tomorrow. I found out that the 25" will not replace the 24". I am going to try and reduce some of the slack by copying some or Yanmar ideas they use on their front drive shafts. I'll post some pictures when I get started.
