    Tiller Size?

In their literature on implements, MF recommends their RT470 for a tractor the size of yours, which is 47 inches wide.

    bobcat side x side

I haven't seen a lot of information anywhere but at Bobcat's website on their utility vehicles, but a bit more on their Toolcats at other sites. My understanding is that the utility vehicles (2x00 series) are built for them by ClubCar, owned by Ingersoll Rand. Since IR sold Bobcat to Doosan a...

For those that purchase a mower since '94

Since I had surgery last month, I've not been able to prepare my LX176 for the season and had to send it to the shop last week (24 ahead of me, may get it back next week!). In the meantime, my daughter and her fiance brought over his push mower Friday evening and mowed my half acre for me - it...

    TYM workout

There are a lot of overlapping models between compact, compact utility, and full size tractors. Compact and compact utility tractors can be as much as 60 pto hp, while full-size may start in around 40 up. Generally each manfacturer will designate whether a particular model is a compact tractor...

    Hi everyone!

Welcome to NTT! I'm in Limestone County, and have no tractors except for a '94 JD LX176 lawn tractor - but have loved them for 60 years! Hope I can get down to see you sometime. Please enjoy the forums. Fred

    man i show is stupid!!

Doc, once in a while I have that problem, not unique to this vb powered site IIRC. I just go on and select a forum, when I come back to the main index page by selecting it in the breadcrumbs, not by going back - lo and behold it says I am logged in! Just an occasional happenstance for me. Fred

    Dettson company

I did a search on the internet, found a few other Dettson snowblowers for sale on kiiji and craigslist. The only company name i could come up with was Dettson Inc, which made boilers and furnaces. I found one article that said Dettson Inc was bought out by International Comfort Products (ICP)...

    Trouble viewing attached images

Just a silly question here - since it seems this behavior started recently, is it possible that a recent Microsoft patch has broken something in IE8? Certainly wouldn't be the first time, nor probably the last! I have had some pretty sever problems before after a Microsoft update, only to have...

    RTV Creep Adjustment

I'm seeing the pictures just fine, no red X's here except in the first post in this thread. I am using XP SP3 and IE7 with Norton 360 on a 5 year old Dell Inspiron laptop, and am on DSL with AT&T (formerly BellSouth). I've geen a member of NTT for a couple of years. I am having a problemn that...

JD 8000 loader on JD 7130?

I took a look at my literature for the 7030 and 8030 series. For the 6030 and 7030, JD has the 573, 673, 740, and 741 loaders, and for the 8030, the 843 loader which has more grunt, so could well overload the 7130. You didn't say what model JD loader you are looking at, but if it is an 800...

    what is your favorite setup?

I know of at least one manufacturer that says their compact and subcompact tractors with a loader need to be ballasted with fluid in the tires, wheel weights, and a load on the three point - not one or another, but all three at once. With the weight of a full bucket sticking out in front, that...

    tractor safety question

Back in the day when the 8N and others were new, many farms were still using horses and they were often the first tractor on the farm. Imagine the comfort of actually being able to sit while yoou worked, vs. struggling through the fresh-turned soil behind the southern end of a north-bound mule...

lots of seat time this weekend

There were a couple of flurries across parts of Northern Alabama Friday, but no kind of accumulation. Just generally cold (as measured here!) with rain predicted later in the week, and colder for the weekend. Not like Paxico, where my friends had to dig themselves out of more than 10 inches...

I need some information and nobody knows the answer

I went out to Deere's website, and looked at the operator's manual for a 609 rotary cutter. The 609 cutter, at 1195 lbs, is a code 83. the 709 cutter, at 1381 pounds, is a code 106. Yours would probably fall in between, at a code value of maybe 90 to 95. HTH. Fred
