    Roming "Pets"...killin' others animals

llama will kill dogs. so will most Donkeys (not mules) shetland pony's are poison mean to invaders as well. OTOH, you could always get a Great Pyr - something the boys can play with that will shred any invading canid - domestic or coy.

that sucks, glad you were able to permanently correct one or both of them of this habit -- sorry you lost the calf.

    A new mahindra for me????

and that's exactly how I ended up with a Mahindra - the Kioti dealer next door to them wanted $4k more for the DK35 than I gave for my 3510. Both are good machines - you have a budget and at this point Kioti fits it. good luck and don't forget to post pictures of it and your bigger machines in...

    christmas trees

check with your state/county ag extension office - they should be able to sell you a bundle of 25 bare root seedlings for pretty cheap.

    Kioti vs Mahindra

yup - I test drove a DK40 when I was doing my tractor hunt. IIRC, it comes with one set of rear remotes.

    ATV Log Arch

for $100 I'd grab it and replace the wheels & bearings. log arch is a good thing -- if you balance the log just right, none of it touches the ground. (carry it butt forward and get the length right)

    A new mahindra for me????

bczoom - if your neighbor got a DK35 under $20k he did good. bordercollie - $16k for the CK35 w/loader is a hella price if it's new, and not bad if lightly used, depending on financing options. As stated earlier in this thread, I went with the larger frame size for the weight & loader...

    Kioti vs Mahindra

+1 what he said. the ck35 is very similar in size and performance to the 3316. the 3535 is more comparable to the DK35.

    A new mahindra for me????

from all I've heard about the 25 series, they're good machines. 2 stage clutch means you can push it halfway in to stop power to the wheels but still have power to the PTO.

    A new mahindra for me????

you might ask what they charge for pickup /delivery - might be worth the cost to save on the hassle and lost time.

    A new mahindra for me????

Bordercollie - I've got the 3510 gear (next frame size up from the 3316) and don't have any problems doing loader work with the shuttle shift. I looked at both and decided the HST was not worth the extra $1k+ to me. good luck with the tooth - and finding the right machine!

    I finally started my pond

Brandi - good to hear from you! Yay for fish! Doc, soybeans soaked & allowed to ferment for a few days to a week makes pretty good fish food, as does cheap dry dog food.

    TYM Tractors

I looked at the 273 when I was shopping, local dealership had one stupid cheap, but they were never there when I went to test drive it, so I ended up with a larger tractor. (which is good, the 273 would have been a bit small for about half the stuff I do with mine) Good little machines.

    homemade Deltahook type quick hitch

thanks - I've seen other versions of that, but can't think of where. yes, I think you should be able to come up with something that works for less than they charge.
