I think 2014 was the start of the X series so yours is older than that. Post a picture of the sticker with the serial number so we can get the year from that. Dave

You definitely need to run the glow plugs for at least 10 seconds or so when the temp starts getting low. It's interesting that my 12 year old L3700 will fire right up without the glow plugs down to just below freezing but my brand new X1100 and even the '14 X900 I had needs the glow plugs...

In all honesty, I think I reversed them to the way you are describing ( COM to wiper and NC to switch). Mine is acting up so I suspect one of my solder joints failed on the potentiometer. I can't seem to find an exact replacement so I might just grab another board and use some thinner wire to...

On the X900 I had, I had it mounted on the A post with ty wraps and I just reached up when I had to maneuver plow. I'll probably do something similar when I finally get a plow for my X1100. Dave

I haven't managed to buy my plow yet for my X1100 but on the X900 I had LEDs mounted high and didn't have a problem with glare. My plow was stainless so the headlights would kill me reflecting off the back of it when it was raised.

I saw that one when I was looking around for them. I decided to go with the one that I got because it was programmable to how you wanted it to operate as far as time goes. Dave
