The hand throttle allows you to control the engine speed independent of the "accelerator pedal". I use mine for situations where I like to keep the engine rpm 'up' while using the pedal to control ground speed......eg snow plowing, hauling heavy loads etc. BTW welcome to the best RTV forum.

I've never been a fan of Kubota tying the accelerator and HST pedal together. If you don't have the optional hand throttle on your unit....get one. By increasing your engine rpms independent of the HST will minimize the condition described...Our brains tend to want to make us stomp on the pedal...

Never tried it myself but there are some who claim that if you place the hose of a shop vac over the filler hole that the vacumn created allows only a small amount of tranny fluid to escape while removing and reinstalling a new filter.

We've had 2 of them...the 1st got taken out by a lightning strike and the current one is about 10 years old. Yes., Pics would be handy. I have a blade on my RTV 900 and the RTV is capable of some serious snow pushing ability and pounding of any blade hanging out front. Not familiar with the brand in question but if it's meant for a 4 wheeler application, the RTV can destroy one pretty quickly.

The block heater on my 900 works very well..plug it in a couple of hours before starting engine and the cabin heater immediately starts pumping out warm air..(never hot no matter how long the engine runs). Like Zoom, since building my insulated and heated 'barn' the block heater doesn't get...

Do you have a hand throttle on it? If not put one on (easy install). Going up a long grade open up the hand throttle and control the speed with the go pedal..Like night and day.
