    Ooohh Boy here we go!!

Yup!.....Until you plow snow with one of these critters, it is likely difficult for the non snow plowing owners to appreciate the RTV shifter annoyance..particularly if a lot of fwd/rev in tight areas is required.. The old 04 RTV with no pressure relief is even more entertaining. You'll develope...

    Ooohh Boy here we go!!

I won't go into one of my rants on Kubota's shifting 'issues'.....When all else fails, kill the engine and it should shift out of gear..not a proper solution for sure but...sounds like maybe your pressure relief via brake pedal application isn't working. I own an old 04 edition and have a...

    BX 2230 hose heater

I would go with the location that is easiest to access....but the dealer should advise you where best to locate it...sometimes there can be internal restrictions that the heater loop might touch..As I said, the ones I've done included instructions and I think (it's been a while) the install...

    BX 2230 hose heater

Just a word of caution....get the block heater from Kubota that is specific to your model tractor (installation instructions were included with the ones I've done)...some are tapped in and some are screw in and what you need is determined by the engine in your tractor.

    BX 2230 hose heater

The parts manual doesn't specify the hose diameter ....but I think the upper hose is the same size. You could pull the upper from the rad and measure. I have never had very good luck with lower rad hose inline heaters, either leaking or burning themselves out and use block heaters for my...

    Happy New Years

Way back when I was a 21 year old key punch mechanic, one of the sites I looked after ways a big oil company where they received the credit card 51 col punch cards that you signed when using the gas co credit card and was picked up by the tanker driver when he delivered gas to the station. They...

Same here, Spudster....Well maybe I'll hang around and chew the fat on the front porch, but I gotta remember that the new (er) ones differ from my 04 model.

I actually started out on punch card unit record..o24 key punch and 056 verifier. Moved on to tabulating and accounting machines. A least favorite was a 557 card interpreter that dutifully self destructed about once a year, mangling the lifter arms into pretzels and requiring complete...

    Glow plugs stuck

Sure sounds like those glo-plugs are not heating up...assuming that you are turning the key past the run position and are holding it in the 'glow' position for several seconds before turning the key to 'start' position. A posibility could be the ignition switch itself. The start switch is fed...

    Happy New Years

I much prefer pushing and blowing snow around to earn a few extra pennies now.. no more NAS/SAN/Raid devices calling home in the middle of the nite to rouse me from visions of sugar plums and lollypops (and the occasional scantily clad damsel) dancing in my head. Still occasionally get roused in...

    Happy New Years

That ain't no 9-5er...I know of what you speak. I spent 40 years (1968-2008) carrying a pager and then a blackberry and being a slave to the whims of those big mean mainframes. They always needed attention on holidays and other times that 'normal' people got to spend eating turkey and drinking...
