    RTV900 Hydraulic Bed Lift

Some owners mistakenly locked the lever that operates the lift in the full down position. This resulted in the hyd cyl having force applied continuously, heating up the oil and in some cases even melting a hole in the plastic reservoir tank. Think maybe the newer units have a metal tank but mine...

RTV-900 Best overall tire for snow plowing

CORRECTION.......The tires that I thought were "turf tires' were/are Nokian Ice and Snow radials for tractors. They supply superior traction in ice/snow/slush conditions very costly and I don't know if they come in RTV size...Sorry for the bad info. .....................:bonk:

RTV-900 Best overall tire for snow plowing

I agree with Zoom...On the odd occasion I have encountered heavy wet snow covering unfrozen loose road surface, usually early winter or early spring and a more agressive tread would have worked well (rutted the driveway up too). In my case the road surface is frozen to a depth of 4 feet most the...

Installing Boss "V" snow plow on X1100C

Sample install for a boss blade....Go to Boss site and look for manuals (I googled boss v plow). The proceedure is similiar to the one I used to install my Blizzard and if you can use a socket wrench, box wrench etc you'll have no difficulty..I did have the use of my backyard buddy 4 poster car...

RTV-900 Best overall tire for snow plowing

I clear residential driveways in the winter to fill the time (I'm retired) and also to augment my meager pension income. My RTV 900 equipped with a Blizzard plow and factory 'knobby' tires. The driveways are either paved or gravel (obout 50/50). The 900 has no difficulty with traction with these...

Kubota 1100 vs Polaris 800 plowing snow

I agree with Mark....The Polaris will run circles around the bota on the trail...but...if you are into serious snow pushing, the opposite would be the case. The RTV is a Bud Weiser work horse ....the Polaris maybe a Triple Crown contender. Guess it all depends on how much snow you encounter in...

    SNOW PLOWS manual vs hydraulic

Whether the snow blade is manually or hydraulic operation, it pushes snow in the 'float' position. The blade has skids or 'shoes' to prevent it from digging in so you lower the blade and just givver'. I have a Blizzard brand on mine. Blizzard, Boss, Curtis, etc all build quality units. The...

Decision Time: Kubota RTV. Need advice

All these years the local beauty parlor has been refusing my requests for an appoinyment and I thought it was because I was just too butt ugly to beautify, and now I find out it's because I have a RTV900...The world will just have to put up with my ugly mugg fora while longer as my 04 model is...

    RTV Filter kits

I have used the Kubota parts site here in Canada a couple of times to look up parts..It was easy to use and allowed me to view the item(s), zoom in etc. and obtain p/n etc . Very useful..Wonder why there are separate USA/Canada parts look up....they're the same machines.

    Winch Question RTV 900

Saw something similar at a local TSC Store in the nuts and bolts section. Of course a 2" 3/16 flat bar bent at 90 degrees on both ends would do the trick.

Orange and Gray Paint Codes and where???

Just my 2 cents....A few years ago I bought a Blizzard snow blade for my 900. It was in rough shape and needed a bit of torch heating to get it more or less back into shape. I then had it sand blasted and epoxy primer coated. When I got it back I finished it with a litre (guart) can of orange...
