    Hand Throttle

Wow, are you sure that's what happened?? I can't think of any way to hook up the hand throttle cable to cause that to happen. What should happen is the engine speed increases with little change in anything else. For example, sitting still, machine in whatever gear speed you choose, no foot...

    RTV Side Mirrors are important

My Super Duty has a caved in bedside from my bumper hitch trailer. When you walk around the hitched trailer to get in the truck, then throw it in reverse and cramp the wheels to turn around like you aren't hitched to a trailer. How can memory be that short......... :)

    overheating!

By your followup description I don't think you have any mechanical problem. I think "Lucky" needs some help. As to the P.S.,,,, yes.... :)

Sorry, I should have read down, I echoed your description of how to see if the fan is working......

    overheating!

Since you said the radiator is full, and you didn't mention steam and antifreeze puking out of the burp tank I'm questioning whether it's actually overheating?? My gauge runs real close to the red if I'm in the throttle much, especially on warm days. I'm guessing the mouse smell is their urine...

    X900 heater installation

In my quest for a cab of some sort, that's where I always stop. No use adding a cab until I can control the severe leakage ahead of the seating area....

Have you driven more than one RTV? Did you notice any differences?

Sometimes it's the little things that most affect us. :)

Have you driven more than one RTV? Did you notice any differences?

Yep. Pretty simple adjustment explained in the manual I think. In the WSM for sure. No harm in how it's working. Simply something you aren't used to. Are you sitting farther from the engine which might e,plain quieter?

    RTV-X1120D at 100 Miles

Excellent writeup!!!! I installed a Coast Valve in my 08 900 and love it. What it avoided was the sudden stops when letting off the gas pedal. I use my brakes to control downhill descents in steep terrain. Can't testify to your machine specifically. As to the Diff Lock, I always use it...

    Managing RTV Refueling

Depending on how much fuel a person will use dictates how serious a person should be about avoiding road tax. I average 250 gallons a month. I pay no road tax on that fuel.

    Straight Pipe

Good response Lee. Mirrors what I've read regarding turbo installs. To get power fuel is added thru different injectors. Poston melt down is the most common failure with a turbo install.

I've read some horror stories about engine damage if not managed correctly. I've also read some good reports. I don't consider myself knowledgable enough to build my own system. I'd like to have the added power but so far the risks have scared me off.

Burning Used hydraulic and or motor oil

Do you have an oil burning furnace in a shop or something like that? Several businesses around here use them and burn all the used oil they can get. 300 gallon of used oil will heat a very large shop all Winter.
