    you probably could do that,but i start with the it like in the manual,which then i take a paint marker and mark which one ive done,so i dont screw up. as for turning it over,sometimes you can grab the fan and belt and turn it over,ive done 1 that way and used a ratchet and socket on the others.

    the gauge sender is the one in the head,towards the trans,the fan is the one in the water outlet,grounding that one will turn the fan on.

    no need to take glow plugs out,all that will do is make it easier to turn the engine over easier with a socket and ratchet.l never take them out.turn the motor over by hand.i mark the timing mark with a white paint marker to make it easier to see.plus a good set of feeler gauges,go-no go set...

    you need 2 gauges and fittings to adapt to the ports on the transmission.and you need to know which ports they are as one is charge pressure and other is forward and other is reverse working pressure.the charge pressure really cant be changed,but the forward and reverse can be tweaked a little...

    look on top of the transmission,there will be a 4 bolt cover with 2 arms coming out of it,on the right side,air cleaner side, the switch is a round one with a weather pack plug ,white,i think it is hooked to it.

    spray them with penetrating oil and get it warm before you take it off or attempt to take it off,ive broken a few bolts off in the past. take your allen socket and tap it into the bolt before you try to take it off..

    Mud

    you dont know the half of it with mud,the crew i work with run them on pipeline projects,so mud and cleaning them off are not even in the same sentence!!wish i could have taken pics of the last 4 i worked on!2 hrs steam cleaning to be able to service it!!

    some parts are not interchangeable,someone told me that the w-6 was that of made before 2006,dont know if that is what it is,but looking to see what is the better of the machines,since the owner of the company has told me he likes them,and is thinking of getting more of them!
