I don't have a Kubota, but my original tractor battery lasted 11 years.
The replacement has been in there 9 years and still going so far.
My last pickup truck battery went 13 years. ( best I have ever done with a battery).
Non ever have a battery tender on them.
Several Townships have the Twp. roads open to ATV's/side by sides in our area.
And yes public roads and State Forest ATV trails here do require insurance. (I have full coverage on my UTV)
With both Z turns mowing we can mow the 8 acres in around 1 hour 20 minutes.
About half our yard we can mow at or near top speed the other half is a little to rough and with all the trees, Etc. we need to slow down.
Went with commercial mowers hoping they with be the last mowers we ever need to buy.
We have owned a Hustler Super Z (35HP Kawasaki w/72" deck) for 7 years. Nice mower.
My wife generally ran the zero turn while I mowed with the tractor.
This year I sold my street bike and snowmobile and bought another Z turn for myself.
A Snapper Pro s200xt (37 HP Vanguard EFI w/72" deck)
Correction.
Out of curiosity I went to the barn to look.
My DK 35 does have that plug. I just never used it.
Its an extra oil fill port. You can fill engine oil at the valve cover or use that port, which ever is easier
I don't think my DK 35 has that plug (can't remember, I'd have to look, I generally fill mine through the valve cover port).
But it does look like an extra engine oil fill port to me.
I get plenty on seat time during the summer, between mowing, loader work, tilling, ect.
I'm always using the tractor for something through the summer. (I have 2130 hours on my DK 35 )
Winter seat time depends on the amount of snow needing plowed.
I'm so lucky here the volume of riding I can do right from my house.
Miles of old railroad tracks, many dozens of different logging roads, coal mine roads, township roads, Etc.
I could probably ride for days and never hit the same road\trail twice.
