Dixie just got her leg caught in the Roxor step and broke her front leg late this evening. The bone didn't break the skin yet and so we will be going to the vet first thing in the am. She is being still and not moving around so am relieved for that. Will keep ya'll informed.

Been busy on the farm and with the moving from old homeplace these weeks too. Last night, we ate supper at 10 pm because we had to fish a little newborn muddy cold calf out of the pond's edge. It was abut 5 :30 , I rode in the sled to keep it in , after,, even though it was tied, flopped out...

We're putting up new HT fence . Real heavy duty tornado like wire but stretches like a charm. The only problem I had was the DK40 being pulled backwards even with both brakes locked. But.. with a chock behind the rear wheels, it held like a tight drum or as they say a "fiddle string" .

I needed some extra space so added a raised floor. I keep my loopers , extra temp fence posts and assorted insulated wire under there. All sorts of stuff and just enough room for my arm to feel under there and retrieve stuff. I used 4x4 on the side as a support.
