    First mow of the season

Been a while since my last visit..Before I can mow my grass I'll have to do a bit of re-arranging in my shop. Get the snowblower off the tractor and strapped to its moving dolly. Back the trusty 2004 RTV900 out of the way. Pull the log splitter out of the way, roll out the zero turn, etc, etc...

    RTV900 )2004) Won't idle anymore

PROBLEM FIXED Hey Bordercollie...Good to see you are still here and thanks for your response..Problem fixed..It was the linkage at the shutoff solonoid..I jiggled around with it and it suddenly retracted to normal position. Lubed it and all seems ok now. Hows that Mahindra treating you or have...

    RTV900 )2004) Won't idle anymore

Been a while since I've visited (have done some peeking from time to time). My 2004 RTV900 with only 465 hrs has suddenly refused to idle. I was out in the woods picking up cordwood and left it idling while I loaded up. It suddenly stumbled and stalled and refused to start unless I gave it about...

Tractor won't start Original 13 year old battery died

Just an FYI....My B1700 that I bought new in 96 and traded for my B2650 in 2012 Had the original factory battery. My 2004 RTV that I bought used (106 hrs) needed the battery replaced a few years ago but my 2001 Mustang battery lasted 19 years ( branded MOTORCRAFT)...I've never in my 75 years had...

    Acceleration problem RTV900

There were some issues reported on this forum regarding either the drive shaft u-joint or the axle u-joint splines wearing and slipping due to wear. May have nothing to do with your machine but thought it worth mentioning.

    rtv x1100c bogs down

FoxAlaska...sounds like your hand throttle isn't working correctly. As Zoomie said it should lock at any position between idle and full throttle.

Here's a "Talk About Anything" thread

Well the leaves have pretty much fallen to the ground after a particularly colorful autumn and it's time to get the summer stuff stored and the winter stuff ready for the winter ahead. Average snow fall for this area is around 9 feet but a few years back we reached a total of 18 feet. Now all...

Grass finally needed at least a partial cut last Fri, May 18. Guess this is a race I can never win.

RTV900 Does not move in M or H when trying to go up a slope

I concur with the previous suggestions.....mashing the pedal to the floor does not give the desired results, particularly in M and especially H range. My 2004 model has a hand throttle that I installed and I usually leave it set at about 1800rpm. (just a guess as I do not have a tach). I can't...

    lesson learned

Hmmmm!! This thread got me thinking. The last time our RTV900 was out pushing snow for about 3 hours, upon return to the shop I detected a bit of a smell from the dump bed area. I thought it was the smell you get when electrical wires heat up. The Snow blade on the RTV uses an electric driven...

    lesson learned

I own an 04 model and am assuming the more recent models operate the hydraulic dump of the cargo bed in the same manner. Is it possible that what you are believing to be the "float" position, to actually be the "down" position. If the lever is locked in the down position then the fluid is...

Fatigue break on X900 front bumper

.....and if memory serves me correctly, the installation instructions for the blade said to remove the grill guard (if present) prior to installing (for the Blizzard blade). I've hit obstacles while plowing snow that would tear the guard clear off if the blade were attached to it...are you sure...
