    30 or 35 series?

Well, the 6520 was $21,000 just for the tractor (last time Mahindra had pricing on its site) and the loader added another $5800 or so, so $27,000. Can't find anyone with a 6520 left anyway. $31,000 is just too far over my budget for the 7060. I'd like to keep it at or below $28,000. Besides...

    30 or 35 series?

Well, checked out the 7060 today. Oof, it's a beast. An expensive beast. Too expensive for my budget beast. Wow, I guess that new engine costs a lot. The 6520 was like $27,000. The 7060 I got quoted today is $31,000. Ah well, back to the 30 series.

Weellll...darn. That means only way to get more umph on the loader is a whole different brand loader (maybe), or put on larger diameter hydraulic cylinders. So the loader actually has an attachment point on the engine??

    Mahindra now selling implements

Well, went to another dealer today. Had a really nice talk with the owner's father. The owner was, as it happens, over on the east side of PA at a Mahindra dealer meeting of some kind. They are also Kubota and Massey-Ferguson dealers. A quick peek in the shop and I saw a fair amount of...

    Mahindra now selling implements

It's better for the dealer, but not the customer. How the heck are you going to do any price comparisons via the web? I think the dealers want it this way so pricing can vary a lot and mainly so it forces you to physically go to a dealer. They figure they have a better chance of making a...

    30 or 35 series?

My dream was to be a fighter jock and fly F-16's (with the ultimate goal of being a Thunderbird pilot, I love aerobatics!), either that or fly the venerable A-10, those things just rock! I had a full-ride scholership to Embry Riddle (their main campus was 15 minutes from my house...I grew up in...

    30 or 35 series?

Oh, and as far as the cummins goes, heh, the piddly HP they put out in the pickups is nothing. Just plug in a tuner box and dial up a few hundred extra ponies and lb-ft of torque at the push of a button. The engine in the rams are certainly not the weak point, the transmission is. You can...

    30 or 35 series?

AH! Brandi, you're an A&P???? Dang. I started flying at 14 years old in the CAP. Never got a commercial ticket (didn't want to be a bus driver). Now I am flying powered paragliders (actually I teach it too). Great little aircraft. Fits in the trunk of your car and is super safe to fly, not...

    30 or 35 series?

Actually the entire 30 series line uses the 3-cylinder turbo engine. This is how they get the tier-III rating for emissions. The series PDF brochure for the 25 series shows various info depending on which model you look at. I think Mahindra needs to do some updating on those, however if you...

    30 or 35 series?

Hmmm, well, according to the info on Mahindra's website the 7060 uses the same 152.4 cu. in. turbo charged 3-cylinder engine that's found in the 30 series. Lol, I don't even know what a "top and tilt" is for a box blade  I don't think the gearing or drive train for the PTO has anything to...

    30 or 35 series?

Oops, I made a mistake, the 6530 is listed at 57 HP at the PTO (not 55 HP that I used in the calcs) and 65HP at the engine. Hmmm...I wonder why the 6530 seems to have less parasitic drag in the PTO drive train? Maybe the gearing is a little different after all. Still, I'm betting the engine...

    30 or 35 series?

Well, I'm pretty sure the 7060 will be out of my price range. The 30 series will do what I need it to do, so that's what I'm going to go for. I looked at the specs for the 30 series and decided the 6030 is the best bang for the buck. It looks like the only difference (besides price) between...

    30 or 35 series?

Well, visited a Mahindra dealer and checked out a few models. I really like the location of the loader controls on the 30 series, very comfortable for my arms. I can rest my elbow on the armrest and reach the control just right. Tried a 10 and 35 series and didn't like the loader controls at...

    Mahindra pricing as of 7/13/10

I just got some quotes today from a local Mahindra dealer. These seem awful high compared to what I have seen, what do you guys think: 5530 w/loader, QA bucket $30509.00 6030 " $31940.00 6530 " $33500.00 6520 " $33839.00 If this is the norm, then all of a sudden the Mahindras are...

    30 or 35 series?

Well, done some more thinking and looking. Got a few price quotes. Definitely going to go 4wd with industrial instead of ag tires. I know the ag's have more traction in snow and mud, but the industrials are tougher tires and I can run it over the grass with a lot less tear up. Only field...

    30 or 35 series?

Big Dog, Been here for about 2.5 years. Been up here quite a few times during the winter prior to moving here (my wife is from here, so we visited family a few times over the years). Actually, I'm more concerned with the 4wd for moving dirt and gravel and scraping the driveway than I am...

    30 or 35 series?

Hello, I am looking at the Mahindra tractors and would like some input from someone that has more experience with tractors in general. I live in PA and have 15 acres to mow/bush hog. I also have a fairly substantial gravel/dirt driveway to take care of. I initially was looking at the 6520...
