Thanks so much for the info. I have looked up in there before and I do believe the oil is coming from that hole. I have been told the tractor needs to be split behind the transmission. Is that correct? Your explanation leads me to believe the split should be between the engine and trans.

I have a 1972 model 4320. I get a terrible hydraulic leak from below the transmisson only when the PTO is activated. I have been told numerous things as to the cause but not sure who to believe. Has anyone here ever had this problem and if so what was the cure. Thanks
