    What’s blue and leaks from a RTV-X?

I am toying with the idea of bypassing the oil cooler located at the filter by running a new hose from the block to the tee on the coolant line then capping off the two ports on the filter cooler. I don’t see a downside to this, versus the leak getting worse or leaking coolant into the oil...

    What’s blue and leaks from a RTV-X?

The HST tube with the suspected leak is the HST suction tube, parts drawings show two o-rings. I am putting off changing these for two reasons. First I want to make sure the leak isn’t coming from elsewhere, and second with this being the lowest point in the hydraulic system if I pull that hose...

    What’s blue and leaks from a RTV-X?

Ever have one of those weekends were to take three steps forward and two back? I fixed three leaks then two more pop up, fix those two and one more pops up. All coolant leaks all in the same area. I had a single drop of coolant on the floor this morning traced it to the small diameter upper...

    What’s blue and leaks from a RTV-X?

3 of 4 leaks seam to be fixed, I was able to tighten the return hose on the steering by partly dismantling the dash, it did cost me a 8mm wrench which slipped and feel into the frame rail and I could not retriver it. And the two coolant leaks did not return today after tightening up yesterday...

So is there a trick to getting the dash up? Everything is disconnected but it still seams something is hanging up around the steering wheel area. Can see or feel anything and don’t want to yank and break anything.

2008 RTV 1100 COLD START PROBLEM

Spin, reading your replies to other threads it sounds like you have a HST/Tranny issue as well. Best keep all your issues in to one thread for now, it’s easier for people to follow and help. best piece of advice is get a Work Shop Manual for your model, they are $30 and you can download it to...

2008 RTV 1100 COLD START PROBLEM

Diesel starts to gel at 40 degrees F, how old is the fuel? Do you use an anti gel agent in cold weather, do you or can you buy Arctic diesel or regular, if you filled up in fall before fuel suppliers changed to winter fuel you could just have some sluggish fuel in your system.

    front suspension broke X1100C

I have only seen that once before on a highly modified Jeep the shock piston worked itself loose from its eye, we figured the extreme angles and articulation plus vibration was the cause. we reassembled the unit it some blue loc-tite and it lasted years with no issue. Probably still in one piece...

X1120 how to get to remove the steering column?

I need to get to the hoses going to the steering column on my X1120, other than removing the entire dash is there a better way? I really, really don’t want to remove the entire dash to tighten up 1 hose clamp. :pat:

    What’s blue and leaks from a RTV-X?

Ok! An update. Found four leaks. First one the coolant hose above the engine oil filter was weeping coolant thru the fibre reinforcing between the layers of rubber. Never seen a hose leak like this before, doubled up on the hose clamp and tightened all other clamps. If it continues then I will...

Picture of where the dipstick is supposed to be under the seat on a Kubota X 1100 C

Go to the passenger side of the RTV, tilt the drivers and passengers seats forward, lift up and remove the cargo tray if you have one. On the passenger side near the door there is a 4 or 5" black rubber cap it is flat and round. Pry up the rubber cap, there should be a hydraulic tank and dip...

RtV 900 won't move, metal in hyd. oil filter

I had a very similar situation with my x1120, metal shavings on the drain plug both filters clogged, wont move either direction. Since I didn't have time to fix my self I sent it to the dealer, well $9K later I wished I had just parted it out. At this point I'm hoping for an insurable fire ?

    What’s blue and leaks from a RTV-X?

Well I have 4 leaks, dealer will only consider looking at the HST leak, I'm on my own for the others. leak 1, coolant leak around the water pump area, I will know more once I get my scope around it on the weekend, fingers crossed its a loose hose, could be coolant coming from the weeping hole...

Ok, so a nice not freezing spring day here, +10 so a few hours under the Kubota before my wife got me cleaning the yard. This is what I found. There is a hydro leak at the very rear of the HST (first picture) dealer is getting a bitchy phone call in the morning. There is a coolant lea, just...

    What’s blue and leaks from a RTV-X?

Having recently had my HST replaced by the local dealer I have noticed a leak coming from the rear part of the RTV. The unit us a 2014 X1129D. The fluid is dripping of the rear skid plate. is clear with a blue/green tint to it, thicker and tackier than hydraulic fluid. I’ve put in just under 5...
