Good old internet, I googled and found this thread because I have a RTV 900 stuck in reverse. Popped the shifter cover and sure as hell the toggle pin was out off the forks. Once you're in there once, it definitely a 15 minute fix. My only question is there a certain type of rtv sealant you need...
