2005 RTV 900 Radiator Drain and Fill - More Out Then Went in ?

You might want to consider pulling the radiator and having it boiled. My Kubota L2800 tractor was regularly overheating recently. Cleaned the radiator and I my temp now rarely rises above "C" even under heavy load in summer heat. I should have done it three years ago.

    2017 Kubota Rtv 900

Hi Vince. Looks JD Power's estimate would price that somewhere north of $5,500, but that changes based on accessories, lights, windshield, etc. I'll share observations from my impulse purchase of 2004 RTV900 a few years back through a national farm equipment auction site. The cabbed...

Crushed end-gate: source for used parts?

Bow-deer season opened recently in Wisconsin. My son and I were giddy about relocating an old ladder stand today and I suggested we could use the box our RTV900 to reach those overhanging branches before tipping it up. Unfortunately, things went south and I crushed the deployed gate on the big...

RATS .. How to repel them from your engine compartment

My shed isn't nearby, but here's a commercial version being sold by Ace. You can create one in minutes, using scrap. I used a defunct crossbow bolt as a rod to suspend the can between sides of the bucket.

RATS .. How to repel them from your engine compartment

Up here in Wisconsin, we (thankfully) don't have many rats in our open sheds, but I regularly do battle with legions of mice. I've tried the minty/wintergreen rodent packages with modest success, but old-fashioned mothballs seem to work best. I lay open packets in the engine compartment, under...

    Post-winter starting woes

When I (literally) mothballed our 2009 RTV (new engine with less than 50 hrs) to its unheated shed home in December, the machine ran like a top. On Saturday, I reinstalled the charged battery, but the engine wouldn't even turn over although dash lights indicated glow-plug was operating. Is there...

Searching for Curtis cab hinges ...

Thanks for the great advice. I did not reach out to them before dealing with Curtis and my area dealer. Looks very much like the correct part -- considerably cheaper than the Kubota dealer "network". I appreciate the suggestion!

Searching for Curtis cab hinges ...

Hi all. Hoping someone can help! I've hit a wall with Kubota and Curtis Tractor cabs -- manufacturer of the aftermarket fiberglass cab (FOPS #V42147, ser.# 184733) on our 2007 RTV900. Top hinge on driver's side door became bent when door flew open during transport. Attempts to refabricate aren't...

    Zero RTV Dealer Stock?

To the UTV inventory question ... when I last spoke with Lulich Implement a year ago (Kubota dealership for far northern Wisconsin/Lake Superior region) they had nothing due to lots of homebound Baby Boomers with excess cash, and supply-chain issues. Same windshield observations at dealerships...

    Hydrostatic disconnect?

Hi all. Thanks for the wisdom shared. Problem turned out to be a floppy accelerator cable at the rear end. Fluky deal. Probably wasn't properly tightened during the overhaul. We're back in the woods!

    Hydrostatic disconnect?

Thanks, BCZoom. I took a quick look, but noticed nothing out of the ordinary. A friend suggests it may be as simple as low hydraulic fluid. Since the machine had just been reassembled with the new engine, it may have taken a while to purge air from the system, and subsequently, more fluid is...

    Hydrostatic disconnect?

Hi all. Just replaced engine & radiator in my 2007 RTVX900. Complete overhaul, essentially. Machine performed great for mechanic, and operated fine when loaded, unloaded, and took it for a short spin. Day later, I restarted, moved the machine, let it idle a spell. When I tried to engage the...
