    Thanks. I was leaning in that direction; I just needed some additional input on the procedure. As I said I was an import mechanic for over 50 years and no real experience with hydrostatic transmissions.

    Thanks for the reply, you put a thought in my mind that I might use a heat lamp or small electric heater under the drained transmission.

    So, I am a retired import auto mechanic, and it is my first rodeo in Kubota 900 diesel repair. Back in the day we would pickle a transmission in Kerosene for about a week drain it out and replace the filters and fluid if we found water in the transmission. What is your take on this procedure...
