Get a 3010 3020 4010 or 4020 as a project. Much better money return and damn good tractors with lots of parts available the 710 not so much as it's an oddball.

To be honest DON'T buy it. It was built in Germany to European low standards. Terrible hydraulics and so on. John deere stepped in then the 2120 and 3130 was born.

We have an old 4010 jd that kinda does the same thing as it has a secondary booster pump serving the main pump that runs only when the clutch is released. We only notice it when the oil is low. Hope this helps.

Could be excess heat from the oil cooler in front of the rad because of your pto problem.

Check to see if the radiator is leaking or seeping along the top or bottom metal ends or caps. We had to replace the radiator one time because solder holding it together broke from vibration. The pto could be either the pto clutch starting to go or tyranny needs an oil change maybe. Hope this...

Might also be a safety switch. Check the clutch pedal or maybe on the gearshift?

My suggestion is get a 4020 john deere. Sure it's old but fairly bulletproof. We've been farming over 100years with 2 bought new and rebuilt the engines only once in that time. No tyranny issues and very few other problems. Newer tractors just have a lot of unnecessary electronics that's always...

Looks like a 510,610 or 710 oddball built in Germany just before 2130 and 3130. Good luck with it.

The biggest thing is using heavy black 9000ft plastic twine. Anything smaller the knotter has a hard time grabbing and knotting. Other settings need an old school mechanic is your best bet. Hope this helps.

The only reason I even considered it is because the price. A loader for my jd7800 is 10000 or more.
