Sorry. I feel for you mister. I don't own a rtv 1100, but somebody will chime in soon. Somebody who owns a 1100 can answer this .

Never heard of this.

........ two guns

That hurts......

Routine maintenance should have prevented this, found mine loose at first oil change @ 25 hrs, being a new machine I checked all hoses and connection's as I have all my dirtbike's quad's and lawn equipment when new.

umm yes zz2D1 routine maintence stop it happening.
But also it shourd not come losse in frist place is that why thay changed the oil filter to to engine block?

WE ALL do routine and preventative maintence on our equipment. We all use the best lubricates etc., etc, .... for our equipment.

We love our RTV's, and with that being said. When something happens to them, either being simple or major, it is just devastatinig !!!

Some things just happen. And there is no one to blame.

I feel really bad for you sheepfarmer. That could happen to anyone. I finally bought a torque wrench so I wouldn't worry as much on stripping the threads. Even then I wonder... :( ...

Thought I was the only one the done that. I can't tell you the bolts I've broken, threads I've stripped threw the years ..........

Torque wrench has helped me much around my shops.....

But I'm still bad about going a few more lbs of pull. Don't know why I do that.
My son, has even stated. " Don't know why you look up the torque, for you are going to do what you want to do anyway" .....

Vehicles and aircraft have and will have several clamps and hoses and connections for years - its commonplace - but now we have products made in China - so ya have to verify it's integrity.
And I do not agree all people do PM's - the dealer's can tell ya that....

My 900 had just the opposite problem. The oil filter from the factory was on so tight I had to use a hammer and chisel around the perimeter while the wife turned it with my BIG pliers. Also had to chisel the bolts on the rear guard loose to get in there. I do check over mine when I clean it. Need to do that soon before I put the pressure washer away for the winter.
