1100 windshield leak

My 1100 is leaking at the top of the windshield between the gasket and the glass. Does anyone else have this problem or a fix for it? Bob

is the seel between the glass and frame good or not? Somthing maybe working out of alignment if the gasket looks okay.

Everything looks fine. The leaks occur across the whole top and not at any one point. Its almost like the windshield doesn't clamp down tight enough at the top but the dogs at the bottom seem fine. I was wondering if there was agenericproblem with a fix already worked out. I'll have to try to adjust or shim the top of the windshield in tighter. Bob

Have same problem first thought it may of been the mounts for the lights or maybe capillary action around the lip of the roof sucking the drips back up inside. I took headliner out and found rust streaks on headliner, might be combination of the two looking for answers also.

Mine leaks across the top as well. I sealed my lights, which were leaking around the bolts and now that is fine. But the top seal against the window frame is not tight. It was full of dirt and bug shit so I cleaned everything and went for a test ride in the rain with the roof liner removed. Still leaks across the top of the windshield.

I'm thinking a small 1" wide piece of rubber the length of the window, jammed under the orange roof and it's frame, then it would lay across the top of the windshield and deflect water away from that edge. Water just lays in there and you are right it is not compressing the rubber seal tight enough to do the job.

If the orange roof had extended another 1/2" this problem would be virtually eliminated.

Let me know if any finds another possible solution.

Thanks
Brian
