I've got 7 gallons of 12yr old super udt

That's what it calls for but I'm wondering if I shouldn't swap it for super udt-2

What'd yall do?

Given my experience at the 50 hour service, no filings or sediment in the filters and the UDT as clear as pure honey, I would say don't change your fluid, but if you do use what you have! The manual does not call for transmission fluid change -just change the filters. As much as it is tempting to go with super UDT2 keep in mind that the factory uses UTD in all new machines on which they have have a warranty. Given this fact, I would not hesitate using the UTD you have -use it up then go with the new version at later fluid changes. My 2003 B7800 has 2500 hours on it using the original UDT at the recommended intervals, and it is working well. OR sell what you have at a discount.

It is my understanding that the main difference is that UDT2 is synthetic. Also apparently some of the southern states dealers don't even carry the UDT2 as one of its primary benefits is in cold climates..eg Canada, northern states..where temps go and stay sub freezing for extended periods..I'd use what you have and switch to UDT2 on the following oil change.
