Gas or diesel?
If gas, did you check the float to make sure it's not stuck?
Has the tractor been sitting for a long period?
Funny on your timing. I'm working on a generator right now that's been sitting and wouldn't start. Cleaned the fuel system but it still wouldn't run right. Tapped on the bowl for the carb pretty good and now it's running.
