2004 rtv900 won’t hardly move forward

That's pretty broad information. Check that your brakes aren't frozen and clean the spark arrestor check change fluid level in the hst and replace filters.

Take the filters off and get yourself a filter cutter. Remove the can off of the filters and let us know what is caught in the paper media? That will tell what's going on in the hst

I am helping my neighbor with this and I have never worked on a Kubota rtv. On flat ground he has to give almost full throttle to go. I had him to push brakes on and off and the piston does go in and out on the square box that the lines come to. I thank you for the help!

The square box I was referring to is on both sides of motor. I checked all fluids and they were okay. I’m sure they need to be changed and filters, but he thinks it’s something else. I have looked at some of the posts and I can’t figure out the pressure relief valve if that could be part of the problem.

To check the brakes including the park brake put the machine in neutral on a flat hard surface and you should be able to roll it by pushing on the tailgate and the front grill guard. Go ahead and drop the oil and filters and cut the can off of the filters to see whats going on in the hot. You need to do a fluid change anyway. Check all of the linkages that everything moves freely and in it's appropriate travel. Clean the spark arrestor

Thank you for the help. I’m not sure what he is going to do now. I think he is going to take it to a dealer and pay those big bucks. I’m sure I could do all that you have suggested but I think he is in a hurry.
