Richie, welcome to this great family. You've selected correct forum. Please teel us more. You stated that you're new to owning a Kubota. Did you acquire the RTV in the current non-moving condition, or did the lockup happen while you were driving it. Please share symptoms just as if the doctor. Your mechanic experience will be valuable to you in correcting the issue.

There are forum members that possess the shop manual. Give them time to weeigh in on your issue.

My first troubleshooting recomendation would be to check the transimission fluid for correct level.

Will the RTV roll while in neutral. If not, consider issues with the brakes.

Once again, give us additional information.

Thanks,

Hi Richie, I am sorry to hear of your troubles. Do you know when it was serviced last and if oem filters and sudt fluid were used? That sudt is specially suited to the RTV's transmission. Do you feel it go into gear when you shift the lever or does it just flop around loosely? I would check the cables were they attach to the transmission and also where they connect to the shift lever. Sometimes they might be out of adjustment and be an easy fix. sometimes the shift fork has been known to break from being forced into gear I understand that they are aluminum and so we have learned to gently coax them into shifting when they become stubborn. Give us a little more info and maybe some of the members that work on these on a daily basis will pop in.

edit: how many hours are on your machine? Also is there wear in the rear end u joints like if you jack it up can you spin the rear wheels by hand and how do they react? bordercollie

.. shifter moves good and i got my son to shift it will i watched cables and they all seem to move ok as for as a shop manual on this transmission , is there a place i can downlaod it becase i have no clue what im looking at or what each cable going to the transmission does

I got my shop manual from Messick's equipment . They are sponsors here I believe. Just google the name. I heard that there is a cd of it also ? If you are still having troubles let me know this weekend and I maybe can fax or get you a bit of that info to get you by till yours come in. I am suppose to have a long day tomorrow but will help ASAP. bordercollie
