Outer housing broke on right rear axle planetary. It is a 302 industrial model. Damaged items: outer cover where stub axle goes through; ring gear 45 tooth 1 3/8" wide; Three pinion carrier gears 12 tooth 1 3/8" tall; Two split half-moon retainers. It has the roller style bearing on the inboard end. Pulled a 65 apart and it had timken bearing. Saw photos of an 85 which appears to be similar. Anyone have knowledge about what will fit or have parts available? Thanks for any information!

I’d be careful assuming the 65 or 85 parts will interchange. The planetary assemblies can look very similar but differ in bearing style, gear width, and housing dimensions. Best bet is to match casting/part numbers and compare the 45-tooth ring gear, 12-tooth pinions, axle size, and bearing setup. A Deere industrial salvage yard may be the quickest way to confirm fitment.

Yes I`m finding a lot of different part numbers. Thanks for the info.
