I just sent my 2008 RTV 1100 out for the 400 hour service and am not looking forward to the bill. Hope to put a high rise air intake on very soon because I agree with EVERYONE on the site who says the location of the factory air intake is just not right.

I only sent my '05 RTV 900 to the shop once to have the valves adjusted at 600 hrs. The book- I think- recommended that at 800hrs - but; back then, it was there for the warrantied drive shaft replacement anyway,so I went on and had that done for $30. I hope I am lucky with this '11 model because I just can't afford shop labor unless there is no other option. Did you ask them to give you a quote or to check with you before preforming repairs ? I just remember back when I called to price a new cooling fan for the rad. (They thought it would be around $75 plus shipping but when I confirmed it, was over $400 plus shipping and me putting it on) I found an aftermarket in the $80's and put it on. I have a post on here about that. Check your manual on the 2yr and 4 year service besides the hours so you can see the stuff they will most likely want to replace according to the Kubota service. Good Luck and happy RTVing. bordercollie

I finally finished my 200 hour service at 250 at hours. I changed the hydraulic lift oil, the power steering fluid, the transmission fluid and engine oil. I replaced both transmission filters and engine oil filter. I greased everything, cleaned the spark arrestor (haven't got rid of it yet), checked tow in, air pressure, wheel lug torque, checked transmission pressure release and cleaned air filter. The total cost was $233.00 and some change to do it myself. I was surprised at how easy the power steering fluid change was. It was an expensive service but it felt good to get it done.

Just got my bill for the 400 hour service. Cost was $608 and that was without replacing motor oil since I had changed to Amsoil.
