Since Mith's photo bucket images are gone, I submit the following to help folks learn how to post images / attachments / pics. Please see the posts below for images which might further help if you are still stuck.

How to post a picture / image / attachment (word doc, spreadsheet, pdf file etc.)

1st, you have to go the the 'advanced' window to add an attachment / image. So if you are using the quick reply box under a thread that will not work. Click the "Go Advanced" button under the quick reply box, or if you are starting a new thread, you automatically go to the 'advanced' input option.

Once there you enter your text then look below the submit button. there you'll find a few options, one of them being a manage attachments box. Click on that and a pop up box will appear which you use to attach your images. Simply click the browse button in the pop up box and go to where you have the image stored on your machine. Once you have browsed and added all the images you want click the upload button (beside the bottom browse button). Then wait while the images are copied from your machine to the NTT server. Once they are copied you'll see them listed in the little current attachments section of the pop up box. Once you see all the images you wanted there you can close the pop up box, it's job is done. Then you can click submit and the image(s) will appear with your post.

Just to follow-up to this, I don't even bother resizing my pictures. The forum software handles that for me automatically. Granted if you resized them first, they would upload quicker, but that usually doesn't take long anyway.

post by CA on FF:

I just worked through several gotchas before an attachment would load.

Hopefully this list will encourage someone else try again if an attachment fails for no obvious reason.

Edit by Doc: With our forum upgrade max attachment and filesize option do not matter. The software will resize the image for you within limits (extra large pics need resized)

1) Maximum attachment size 800 x 800.

2) Max filesize 195k. (I think.)

3) The little icons at the top of the editing box won't attach anything. Scroll down to the next screen and in 'Additional Options', use 'Manage Attachments'.

That should open a popup box where you Browse your pc and find your intended attachment. Note that after uploading, an error box might appear at the top of this upload box showing the upload failed due to dimensions or filesize. That error box is easy to overlook.

3) Neither the 'preview post' button below the text edit box, or the second one down below the 'additional options' box shows you a preview of your post with attachment. (Is this unique to Firefox?) Just post for the world to see and hope it looks like what you intended. You can continue to edit it for a few minutes after posting.

I encourage extensive use of attachments. Often a picture makes a point better than text.

I think there is a limit to how big of a pic it can resize

So, at times, you might have to manually resize your pics.

(Rep points for Mith!!!!!)

That would be correct and it's about 300kb!

Why are my photos attaching upside down? I even rotated my pictures before attaching them, and the still show wrong?
Sorry, but I have no clue why some pics show up upside down or sideways.
I will offer to turn them right side up in your post when that happens. Report the post and that will get my attention. It might take a few hours depending on timing but I will get your picture right side up eventually.

Thank you.

I did some research and found there is a bug within vbulletin that can cause this due to the orientation data inserted into the picture info by some phones.
