Belt screech during normal steering—Normal?

My one year old RTV x1100c makes a lot of belt screech noise even when steering normally. Is that typical or something that needs an adjustment? It sounds like when you stress a power steering unit by rotating the wheel all the way to the stop, but happens even when in the middle of the travel. Is it as simple as a belt tightening? Your thoughts/advice welcome. Thanks.

Chances are, that is not your power steering pump belt, because you don't have one. The steering is part of the hydrostatic system. Your bed down lever isn't sticking, is it? Check your alternator and AC compressor belt. for tightness. The WSM also says there could be air in the system if it is making noises.
