Bring on Summer

Sure look forward to summer so I can get back to Montana and my RTV-900. Hard times are here just like I said was comming last year so I am not sure how many visitors will show up in Montana this year. But I hope my kids and grandkids can spend some time with us this year. I have been waiting for Two Guns to show up with his fishing rod.

God as my judge, wish I was up there with you and my fishing pole ~~~~~~~

Hi CanyonCreekMT, I was trying to remember who it was that predicted these hard economic times. Any calls for the next yr? It looks to me like once people use up their cash reserves and credit limits (because the are use to getting what they want when they want) it will hit the fan.Hopefully it will adjust itself. I must say that I am looking forward to warm weather. I am planting a bigger garden this year and will put the RTV to use hauling supplies back and forth to it.Spring and Summer in the RTV ...something good to look forward to. Bordercollie

I can't wait for summer to get here either. It is 3 degrees out with a wind chill of minus 14 right now. I have to get the bota out and run it today so it will be ready for the big day tommorow. D.E.C. boys are coming out to weigh and measure one of our black bears that is denned up at the bottom of my power line. I will try to get some pics and post them for all to see. I just got back from the birth of our fifth granddaughter down in saint pete, fla. on monday. The snow removal in the Carolinas was pathetic by N.Y. and Pa. standards. Seen more wrecks in 40 miles of running I-77 north of charlotte,n.c. than I have encountered in 30 years. Got back home and snow all melted and mud is froze hard as a brick. Sure wish I had a cab on the bota but that is why I have plenty of long johns and walls coveralls. I just hope it stays frozen on the hill as I don't want to slide down in the mush on top. Will let you know how it all goes with the bear. This one is small compared to the big one in there last year. I don't think they could have wrestled that big boy out to weigh him. He is snoozing somewhere on the back side hill now and I am not going looking for him. Ha Ha Seen him out and moving during our 3 day warm-up late in February and I know he can outrun me or the bota. Times are going to get worse I think through the end of the year. There is going to be a lot more folks that will be out of work. My son and his wife own a law firm and do a lot of bankruptcy work. If you want an appointment it will take a Month to get in to see them. I am on the Board of Directors for America's Credit Union at Fort Lewis Washington and we have been doing well but our losses have climbed in the last few Months due to auto loan defaults. There is no market for used cars. We have about 125 waiting to be sold. Even the folks that run theauto auctions have had to cancel sales due to lack of interest.

Thanks for the reply Canyoncreek, The slow down took a while to get here but it is starting to be felt. Car dealerships are in a pinch.(everything but Wallyworld)seems to be slower. ..I intend to drive my RTV for a long long time.It is nice not having a payment.Health Insurance is bad enough the way it keeps going up. I get a $50 raise and the premium goes up a $100 a month so to lower it back, I keep raising the deductable. I do have a health savings acct though. Bordercollie

I share your feeling on how things are turning for the worst economically. Its been creeping up on us for some time and it's finally hitting the fan. While many of us have been hard at it, working with our nose to the grindstone so to speak, others have been dipping into our wallets and helping themselves to our savings. Plenty of finger pointinggoing on, and rightly so. But, I didn't create or pass lawsgiving unqualified people the right to my hard earned dollars. Did the parents of those gov't leaders and CEO's teach them to steal orcheat or be dishonest or treat others unfairly? I doubt it.And it wasn't meloaning money to people to purchase houses that didn't have a snowballs chance of repaying those loans either. You don't put new horse shoes on a horse with a broken leg now do you? Well, someone sure enough thought it was the right thing to do. And now with our new Administrations wonderful Economic Stimulus Bail Out Pork Package Plan , what do we end up with? Surprise Surprise!!! Now we got ourselves a horse with a broken leg, new shoes, and laying in a new barn withmore grain and hay than he knows how to swallow. Ain't life grand.
