Bumpy Ride

I have noticed that the ride in my RTV is slightly bumpy at low speeds on flat hard surfaces, more noticeable now driving on frozen ground than in the summer on soft turf, very noticible backing the unit out of the garage with a concrete floor, and driving in reverse.

my thinking is it’s the tires I have the off-road factory tires, and my thoughts the bumpy ride is all due to the ‘knobbyness’ of the tires.

anyone else notice this? Would I be correct in assuming my tires are the cause or should I be looking at something else, I don’t want to go around driving it making a situation worse all because of a misplaced assumption.

I put ultra knobby tires on my golf cart and it went from very smooth to quite bumpy. Also, this time of year with the cold, the oil in the front strut is stiff and that affects your ride.

Are you in freezing conditions?
It's pretty cold here. (Hasn't gotten up to 32° in probably 3 weeks).
When I go to drive the tractor, the rubber is super stiff. Where the tires sit on the concrete, they create a flat spot on the tires which takes about 20-30 minutes of driving before it comes back to round.

Can I be playful...?? .... you don’t like the “ride” in a utility vehicle...?? LOLOL.
Seriously, on my off-road aggressive tread SunF tires.... a slow, rolllng speed is like going over a cattle-guard anyway... Pick up the speed to a walk and it goes away.

Yes, playful is fine. ?

Yeah it rides like your going over a cattle gate at low speeds, but more pronounced while in reverse, I’m pretty sure it’s just the tires but wanted to throw it out there in case it was a warning sign of something else. Like a bearing About to fail, CV joint on its way out, shaft alignment issue etc!

once the weather gets warmer I intend to put it on jack stands remove the wheels and skid plates and go over the unit with a fine tooth comb, if I’m going to keep it I want it to be reliable, something it has not been to date. With the wheels off i may get a different set of tires, I’m not a fan of the factory off-road tires and two of them have plugs.
