Can the speedo be adjusted?

Hello all, haven't been on here in quite a while, hard to read all about the RTV, not having one and wanting one so bad. Well I finally got one and really like it, it's all everyone says it is.
I bought the speedometer kit and install was a breeze, just put the right two wheels up on car ramps and never lost a drop of fluid when the plug came out. I had checked the speed before with a GPS and it tops out at 25MPH, I checked top speed with the speedometer and it tops out at 29MPH. I noticed a screw on the back of the speedometer and was wondering if there is a way to adjust this to make it closer to actual speed. It shows about 4MPH fast at top speed.
Glad to see the old gang is still around.

id say itc close enough.even with a GPS read they are off a tad Ive noticed. The only time ive really seen them match up was if I was on a long open stretch or road for at least 20 minutes to let the gps settle down and get a good read.To me the speedo is just a reference thing to let me know things are running right.

My experience is that as speed goes up, something the RTV has a hard time with, the gap increases. But at 5 mph they are about even, and that's where the rubber meets the road. Implements like my Swisher tow-behind mower need to be operated below 5 mph. So it's not how fast I can go it's more like how slow I can go and in this case the high speed inaccuracy of the speedo is of much less concern.
And if you ever get a speeding ticket with your RTV you can claim speedo error as a defence! (Not really as its optimistic) :)

Garmin Gps refresh rate is 2 seconds and far more accurate than an analog device.
In my RTV 1100 I am running dual gps trail and road, My speedometer reads within 1 mph of both my gps units. Both are Garmin model's.
I see the same thing with my vehicle Garmin unit's.
This in on the flats/pavement, and they are linear.
