Changing the rear axle RTV X1100C

Trying to change the rear axle (CV Joint). I have a new one ordered and figured I might as well get started and remove the old one. I got the axle out, but there appears to be a piece still in the transmission that the inner cv joint went into. How do I remove this piece? Thanks for any help.

downloaded the Maintenace manual, it doesn't tell how that piece comes out.

Okay, I put a slide hammer under the part and it popped right off.

What type of tool were you able to get in behind it? I have tried everything I can find and cannot get anything I can hook to it to use slide hammer. Help!
