Driving the 900xt 2011 kubota

Hard Times

As you know I bought the family this workhorse for our horsefarm. I let my daughter drove the 900xt until she got tired. I got behine the wheel and let me tell you, I own several deisel from a dozer, backhoe, tractors and trucks. This machine pulled several steep hills in H with no strain or pain in 2WD pulled scrap iron with no hesitation in 2WD M. I have not even put in 4WD. Down here in Ms where these hills and hollows ans a lot of erosion. I know this was a great investment.

HardTimes,

I've had my 900 XT for six months and continued to be amazed at its' pulling capability. It will continue to get better. Enjoy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That is great Hard Times. The 2011's transmission is improved over the earlier models. Today was proof with all the rain we got today . I was running in H, 2wd in deep mud and made it ok but did fish tail a little. I will need to switch to the 589s with this wetness. My all terrains are great in normal conditions but I miss the deep lugs of the 589s in the mud of winter. If you keep the fluids changed on a regular basis , it will last forever. bordercollie

..... the more you run it, the better it gets !!!!

>>>> your life has just turned for the best .

Enjoy the machine, for it's going to be there for awhile ....

I thought I saw that Hard times was from Mississippi, are any of you guys from the south ?
I live in north Ms, just 10 miles south of Memphis Tn, I work for an Oil Refinery in Memphis. I'm the weld shop Supervisor.

BigDan,

I'm a westerner, that is about 50 miles east of Ft. Smith, Arkansas. That puts me near due west of you. Yep, that's part of the south and very proud of that.

I am from central Mississippi and have lived in se Arkansas and c Louisiana.I work outdoors on a family employee only 1000 acre plantation of my bil's. I have had the great fortune to have had a Dad that taught his girls how to do things . When I moved here to Ms though , I didn't know one end of a cow from the other. That has changed ;) .We raise mostly registered black Angus and have a herd of commercial cows also. I ride the RTV a lot in the Summer,Fall and Spring looking for problems and working on fences, spraying etc. I put over 4000 hrs on my '05 900 before selling it in August and buying a 2011 xt. I love those machines. .. They changed my life - the pickups stay parked except for hauling the gooseneck.- I posted a picture of the 05 next to the '11. I just love 'em but couldn't keep both so sold it . I had over 50 calls on it from the market bulletin listing and sold the well maintained machine for 5250 with over 4000 hrs on it.
I am working on a top console for the new one now, it will have a light ,switch panel, radio and speakers and possibly a binocular holder. bordercollie
