Emax25L Forward/Reverse Pedals Don't Return To Neutral

Was just out driving my tractor and when I let off the forward pedal it was like the cruise was on.
I sort of panicked and pressed on the brake, which stalled the motor. Before restarting it I messed with the pedals and which ever one I pressed on it would go to the floor and stay. I did manage to understand that the return to neutral spring or what ever makes it function had clearly failed.
I finished what I was doing with caution and instead of braking I would carefully balance the pedals with my foot.
Looking under it with the mowing deck still on but lowered I was still not able to see what may need repair. It seems like no more than a spring but not knowing where to start tomorrow, I thought I might ask for some advice beforehand so I'm better prepared. My tractors year is 2020 if that maters.
I'm really hoping to hear that it really IS a spring and simple fix. Fingers crossed!

Thanks in advance

Hey, Sandelman

It definitely sounds like you have a hydrostatic transmission pedal return issue, which is usually caused by a broken or disconnected return spring or a stuck linkage. Here are some things to do and or look for.
  • Under the foot pedals, follow the linkage to the transmission.
  • Look for a broken or hanging spring or debris jamming the linkage.
  • Clean and lube pivots if they’re stiff.
  • If it’s just the spring (most likely), it’s a simple, cheap fix — usually one small part and easy to replace once you can see it.

Hope this helps, it might not be it but from my understanding and some little online research this is most likley whats going on. But it is also a fast search if you find out what is going on you can find a tutorial if needed to help!
    best of luck!!(y)
