I just picked up a new RTV-X2C and here are my reactions after loving my 2021 RTV-X 1100C for 1200 hours and 9000 miles.
• First thing I noticed is how much quieter it is inside the cab. Very nice and not expected.
• The sifting is indeed much improved. Just driving around it is easier and smoother. I'll wait until snow plowing season to really test it, but so far I am thinking it will be much better.
• The muffler attachment is now much better thought out. On my X900 and the X1100C I had the muffler brackets break from vibration. On the X900 it broke within the first 5 months and it snapped the transmission boss where the muffler was mounted. After some argument Kubota took ownership of the problem and fixed it. On the X100C the middle bracket failed (at 1100 hours) at the bend where it is attached to the transmission. I took it off and welded it. This was the only place supporting the muffler. There was nothing at the end of the muffler. On the new machine the muffler is attached to the exhaust manifold via a flex joint with springs (much like snowmobile exhausts) and they added a robust hanger at the end of the muffler. Time will tell, but it does look like a substantial improvement.
• I do like the new style worksite-type tires. I think the chains I use in the winter will ride nicely on the tread. Right now the tires are great riding through logging and our dirt roads.
• The LED headlights are nice - I wasn't aware of the addition of high and low beams- very nice.
I just received this machine 10 hours on it right now, but come plowing season it will accumulate quickly. I am trying to get the 50 hour break-in done and filters and fluids changed prior to pushing snow.
