Gonna use my RTV to carry FEED up to my soon gonna be game feeder. So.....A couple of questions to you folks that are currently using feeders or have. REAL KNOWLEDGE PLEASE
Over the past several years, maybe 4, I have had a game camera pointed at a "Deer Cane" ground/mineral lick. In addition, this year sowed some high dollar food plot seed.....The deer plot is getting grazed on as much of the tops of the plants are trimmed a lot....Over the years the number of deer and other wildlife has grown. THIS year, finally, I have a huge buck with quite a rack for the first time......A BUCK>>>>>>yeah
So, it's time to invest in a feeder for up there, on top of my mountain, on the edge of my land which is as God made it, 40 acres of county land, and then Chattahoochee nation forest beyond that.
Question: I plan on getting something like:
http://www.ontimegamefeeders.com/gamefeeders.asp.............
I dont see it but I know available is a solar charger with the timer that I will use......So:
What kind of feed do I put in there?
How much does a feeder of this type go through in let's say a month?
Any other thoughts?
Oh by the way, the location is totally TOP SECRET, as far as I am concerned and NO, I do not hunt with a rifle; but a camera. Viet Nam PTSD still rears it's head when I see those eyes..............
Thanks guys.........God bless........Dennis
