glow plugs

Hi Everyone,
I have a question about the glow plugs. This week the light on the dash stopped coming on when I start my 2007 rtv.
What would be the best way to trouble shoot the glow plugs to make sure they are working for cold weather.

What year and model?...........Did you check the fuse box on the firewall above the engine/behind the seat?.......There is a fuse dedicated solely to the glow plugs.....Dennis
 
Also you might could use a light tester on the bulb socket if you had someone to hold the key over while you tested it. or even trade bulbs with like the parking light one etc and see if you get any response that way. Good Luck, Bordercollie
 
How about how well it starts?
I can assure you if your glow plugs aren't working, you'll know it.
I assume it isn't cold where you are right now. But still, try starting it one morning without the use of the glow plug and then the next with.
This is of coarse if you don't already have the right equipment to diagnose the problem.
This is only a simple quick test you can do.
