I have a p1807 code

I am getting a p1807 code, something to do with the 4 wheel drive ground. I cleaned the wires on the battery terminal and where it's bolted to the frame. As far as i know my tractor is a mechanical engagement since i pull up a lever beside the seat to engage and push down to disengage. Starts and runs great and will drive but engine light is blinking and appears to be in safe mode. Are there other grounds I'm overlooking. It is a 2015 2538 hst mahindra. Thanks

I had something similar on an older machine where I cleaned all the obvious grounds and still kept getting the code. It turned out there was a hidden ground point I totally missed near the front axle/4WD actuator area. Even though your engagement is mechanical, there's still a sensor or solenoid in the circuit that needs a clean ground to report back to the ECU correctly, and if it's not getting a good signal it'll throw the tractor into safe mode real quick.

I'd trace the wiring from the 4WD switch toward the front axle and check for any grounds bolted to the frame in that area. They're usually tucked up under a bracket where moisture just sits and eats them up. A wire brush and some dielectric grease on those connections might be all it takes.
