Is Kubota always behind the time?

Title should be: Is Kubota always behind the time?

September 2011 and Kubota still has not updated there website parts section to include the RTV 900 xt. Also, before purchasing my Bota in June, the dealer still had not received the 2011 RTV brochure that provideds the upgrades to the XT. I emailed Kubota for the brochure and they sent me a general brochure for all tractors and RTVs. What a waist. Lastly, why would Kubota not list the replacement filters in the Operating Manual. Most all of my farm equipment is John Deere. They list the filter p/n in the manual. I love my RTV and currently would not swap for the best gator, but Kubota should wake up.

Okay, I'm through venting for the moment.:argue:

My take is that the Kubota company flat doesn't care about its customers . Its like they think their products are so good that they do us a favor by allowing us to buy from them. They may have excellent products but they sell themselves short by not having excellent customer relations, JUST my .02.

It's all dollars to them.I got a good buy on RTV but they wanted a dp to finance it- and I don't owe a dime to anyone. I've always just saved up and paid cash- thus a low credit score.
I always thought the driveshaft and ujoints should have been a recall issue or at least a pro rata credit on the up grade. That would have been the right thing to do in my opinion. I will make do with aftermarkets whenever I can like with the flex a lite radiator fan, but most things are Kubota only- unfortunately. I wonder if the shop manuals will come out in a reasonable time? Some things like the driveshaft/ujoint hydraulic cooler will be different. bordercollie

I agree, KUBOTA need to get off of it and take better care of the customer's needs.

It's the people & forums that keeps the ball rolling. From what I've learned from myself, and other folks & forums, I try to pass it on. And I also know, that I (we) are not the only one that shares information like this. There is many other forums & folks that do the same. It's sharing ideas and experiance, and the goodness of the people of these forums that keep the machines
going, not the companies.
We know, if it was not for the sharing of the experiance of many owners. There would be MANY
RTV's sitting in the back, behind the barns being used for nesting houses for rats.

The real kicker is, that it don't cost a company, expecially of that size, much $$$ to print the
special things that we need to keep our equipment rolling.

And for the ones out there that help and share the "fixings, doings, and experiances" of me keeping my equipment going. I love ya'll !!!! Ya'll will ALWAYS have a special place in my
heart.

And don't think for one moment, that Kubota Corp., and other big companies don't read these forums, for they do.

Jamie, well stated. I must say that I regretted starting this thread due to the neagtive content. It is pleasing to receive the supportive replies. I did sent comments to the big Kubota, albeit, I don't expect much of a reply if any. Philip

Twice tried contacting Kubota Corp about issues and didn't even get so much as a auto email back. The negativity is unfortunately born of Kubotas perceived arrogance. When asked how I like mine I tell the truth, great machine - lousy company.

The only thing more irritating is a dealer with the same attitude. Wonder if they will ever put the key switch someplace that you don't hit it with your knee. Mine got another 5-6 hours on the meter the other day. Fed the cows and saw a red light glowing on the dash as I walked by.:hammer:

Muleman, my son and I are on the large size and we were also flipping the switch with our knees while not knowing we had done so. My fix was to spend $1.50 at wally world (I hate that place) for one of the spiral plastic stretchy key holders. Attached key to one end and looped the other end around 4wd lever. I then instructed all family members to remove the key and let it dangle each time the switch is turned off. No unwanted hours since.

Now, what was Japan thinking when they place the switch beneathe steeringwheel. I've notice in pictures that they got it right on the RTV 1100.

The switch doesn't bother me as much as having to remove the parking lever from up my shorts every time i get out. Some I know quit using the parking brake altogether which has resulted in a rollaway or two.

Vintovka,

Thank you for pointing out that your shorts get caught on the parking brake all the time. I just figured that it was somehow accidental for me. Maybe we can form a "Parking brake up my shorts" support group. It certainly is annoying.

Tom

Not an accident but an ergonomic design flaw. Everyone whose driven it with gym type shorts on has gotten the "RTV wedgie" at one time or another. Often considered modifying the lever to avoid it. About fell once when i needed to move fast.
