Long distance wide open throttle

Is the rtv1100c governed at a safe rpm to where it can handle it for long periods of time? There is a few places I’d like to go down country roads and don’t want to trailer unless need be, this would be probably an hour each way at 20-25mph, is this safe to do so?

Yes it's safe to run wide open all day if you want. Going down hill shouldn't cause an rpm issue either.

Gen’s that run at that RPM is purely for the purpose of creating 60-Hz AC.

(Besides that… those are gasoline…not diesel)

I’m saying if generators can run at 3600 for hours on end it should be fine in the rtv, the frequency is irrelevant I’m just talking rpm, and no I mean diesel generators, like my gl14000, runs at 3600 with a 1/4 load or full load

An engine is rated in kw and hp. In any generator as load is increased the governor will open and hp or kw will increase until the load overpowers the engine then rpm will drop and the cycles frequency will also drop out the engine will overheat the gen head will overheat amps will go up and the diodes will fry. In the rtv running at full throttle all day long won't hurt anything as long as it isn't overloaded overheating etc. You have to consider the hot ability to dissipate heat also. It's well designed and if it's operated and maintained within its designed it will be fine.
